The Chef: Tomo No Ramen
Tomo No Ramen means “friend’s ramen”. We want to create both food and an atmosphere that is familiar and open, while pushing you to the unfamiliar and new. The neighbourhood family-run ramen shops in Japan - “machichuka” - where customers get to know both the chefs and other patrons while basking in a shared love of the beautiful and varied dish that is ramen is an atmosphere that we can aspire to recreate.
The Music:
Ali Austin - Originally from Mid-Wales, Ali Austin is now based in Bristol, where she has been making her mark in the local music scene for over a year. With her soulful voice, introspective songwriting, and influences ranging from Olivia Dean to Yebba and Lianne La Havas, she carves her path, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of her audience.
Harmer Jays - Singer, songwriter, and creative producer Harmer Jays seamlessly weaves rich instrumentation, distinctive stylistic choices, and soaring vocals to craft a contemplative and intensively concentrated sonic flow. Drawing inspiration from the likes of James Blake, Joji, FKA Twigs, and Bon Iver, honing a keen focus on capturing poignant moments, evident in both his studio recordings and electrifying live performances.
